in a single, pressurized instant, there’s already a bullet hole in yaldabaoth’s head and he fades in the next instant while akira still feels the aftershocks of his action radiating up his arm.
his wish isn’t like haru’s, who wanted her dad to be kind and loving with her, he just wants the opportunity to tie up all these now loose ends, his realization of his origins only coming back to him in that critical moment that satanael was awakened again, when his gun was already leveled at yaldabaoth’s head and there was no time to even breathe, with shock running through him the same time the recoil does. it’s a lot of the emotions a kid goes through when they lose a terrible parent - they don’t necessarily want them back, but they want the chance to sit down and talk, to get those straight answers they were always denied. AND I KNO ppl gonna be like “REALLY cake u wanna make his wish about yaldabaoth?” but it’s not exactly about him, it’s about akira understanding why this happened, who he is and where he belongs exactly, why his father did what he did, and why things had to end so violently. they have a small second chance, they get to live in a dream even if it will be stolen from them (and he hates that he needs to be the one to do it, again), and he does desperately want to get closure from his father. he remains wholly unaffected by maruki as he has taken his autonomy and fought to gain his freedom, as well as the fact that he is a demigod of the metaverse.but yeah, i do think that a part of him feels the unfairness of it, that his friends have this chance to live a perfect life if only for a week as he pulls them all from their fantasies. OOF this got me right in the heart bc YEA that’s a big one for akira in an au where he’s actually the child of yaldabaoth - he’s at his wit’s end in the third semester, not only having to deal with the trauma of the past year (esp those that piled up at the end) but also the fact that he now has to grapple with his origins, and with this there’s an added layer of a whole life as satanael.
